I hope that your spring has been productive and crafty!
I am writing to let you know that the application date is Monday, June 17th. The application will be posted on the website (http://www.womensfestivalofcrafts.com/vendor-application.html) in the morning. You will need to download it, print it, fill it out and mail it in. Your best chance of getting into the show is when you put it in the mail the same day that it is posted. As with past years, you will need to provide photos and a description of your booth. First preference is given based on the return postmark on the application, then based on filling specific categories of crafts (and not over-filling other categories).
The show will take place Saturday, November 30th and Sunday December 1st. We will be back at Burlington's City Hall.
I've been getting the same question from a few people, so I thought I would address it here. If you do not have access to a computer the day that the application comes out (whether you are traveling or whatnot), you will need to find a trusted friend, partner or colleague to fill out the application for you. We do not give the application out early to anyone, and we do not hold spots for anyone. Please stress to them that it’s important they get the application in the mail on June 17th to give you the best possible chance of getting in the show.
Artists will be notified by email as to whether or not they are in this year’s show. If an artist does not have email, she will be notified by snail mail or phone.
The Women's Fest will be open for the following hours: set-up on Saturday morning, November 30th, from 7am-10m, the show runs on Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and on Sunday, December 1st from 10am to 4pm. You MUST be there for both days in order to participate, no exceptions. You also MUST be setup and ready to sell your artwork by 10 amSaturday. On Sunday, you must be packed out and gone by 5:30.
The application fee is $140. If you are accepted, there will be NO refunds after October 15th.
With so many women and limited space available, we suggest that you get your application back immediately and/or share space. There is no jury, but you need to give your word that you handcraft your own items, live in the great state of Vermont, and that you will be there to promote and sell the craft yourself.
YOU MUST MAIL THE APPLICATION BACK! The postmark is how we track the return mailing date from you—that levels the playing field, no matter where you live in the state. No exceptions.
Each space is approximately 8ft x 6ft, but may vary slightly due to the layout of the space.
Please re-read the above information before contacting me. If you still have questions, please contact Moe at firstname.lastname@example.org or 264-9820.
Thanks! I am looking forward to another successful year!
Moe O'Hara and Heather Stearns
